ro
select axis-range options
SYNOPSIS
ro [x|y|z]
DESCRIPTION
C-PLOT automatically sets the axis ranges and the positioning and style of the tick marks when the first set of data is read. It will maintain these parameters until the new points command, np, is executed, or the ranges and tick marks are set using ra or ro. (The re command will clear the axis range settings along with the data.)
The program decides where the tick marks will go, how they will be spaced and how each axis will be numbered. You can, however control these parameters, either by using the ty command or by using ro.
The ro command will prompt you for range minimum and maximums, like ra,but it also will ask you to choose from these options:
Exact ranges
The axis will begin and end at the specified minimum and maximum. The tick spacing and numbering will be decided according to the program's standard algorithm.
Axis padding
The first and last tick marks will be moved in slightly from the end of the axis if the minimum or maximum range value is too near or coincides with the first or last tick positions.
User-defined tick spacing
The first and last tick marks and the corresponding axis numbers will coincide with the minimum and maximum range values. For linear axes, the user specifies how many intervals are to be used and how many intermediate tick marks are to be placed in each interval. For logarithmic axis, the user specifies how many intermediate tick marks will be numbered and how many intermediate tick marks are to be placed in each interval.
