sc
select filter scaling factors
SYNOPSIS
sc [short_side long_side]
DESCRIPTION
The sc command informs C-PLOT of the exact size of the graphics-filter device you are using. With no parameters, you are prompted to enter the lengths in centimeters of the short and long sides of the maximum plotting area of the current graphics-filter device. Alternatively, you can give the two values on the command line. When the correct values are entered, the centimeter units used by the commands cs, wi, pn, zn, pk and zk will be accurate on the filter plot.
Entering values of 0 will restore the default scaling, which maps the entire pen-plotter plotting area to the maximum plotting area available on the graphics-filter device.
If the graphics-filter drawing area is set smaller than the pen plotter area, it is possible to generate plots that run off the graphics filter page, as the window commands operate with respect to the pen plotter plotting area.
For general information on graphics filters, see the filters help file.
